Shipping and Packaging Cost Information
Until December 2025, we had kept our shipping prices unchanged for ten years while absorbing an increasing proportion of carrier, packaging and handling costs.
We eventually had to adjust our delivery prices to reflect substantially higher charges from DPD and Royal Mail, together with increases in the cost of boxes and other protective packaging materials.

Royal Mail business price timeline
This example follows the published price of Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed by 1pm, On Account, up to 1kg and with compensation up to £750.

The published base price for the example service was £7.25, excluding VAT and surcharges.

2022
Royal Mail increased its fuel surcharge from 4% to 6% in March, and then from 6% to 8% in July.

2023
The example base price reached £7.65. Royal Mail also introduced a 2p Green Surcharge and a seasonal Peak Surcharge for business account parcels.

2024
The example base price increased to £8.55. The Green Surcharge doubled from 2p to 4p per item.

The example base price increased to £8.95 in March and then to £9.45 in October. The Green Surcharge also increased to 5p per item.

The example base price increased again to £9.95. Royal Mail increased its Fuel and Energy Surcharge from 8% to 11% in January, and then to 16% in May.

From April 2023 to April 2026 alone, the published base price increased from £7.65 to £9.95, a rise of 30.1% before additional fuel, green and seasonal surcharges were applied.
Cardboard and protective packaging timeline
The UK is a net importer of cardboard and its paper and packaging supply chain is closely connected to European producers. Costs can therefore be affected by European material and energy prices, freight costs, currency movements and post-Brexit trading administration.

Average prices initially remained relatively stable, but COVID-19 increased demand for home-delivery packaging while disrupting mills, freight networks and international supply chains.

Prices rose more noticeably as strong packaging demand combined with material shortages, freight disruption, constrained production and new post-Brexit trading administration.

2022
The largest annual increase occurred. Russia's invasion of Ukraine intensified the European energy crisis, increasing the cost of energy-intensive paper production, wood, recovered paper, chemicals and transport.

2023
Corrugated-paper and packaging prices reached their highest levels early in the year. Prices later began easing as demand reduced and supply chains stabilised, but remained substantially above pre-pandemic levels.

2024
UK producer prices fell from their peak, but this did not reverse the large increases experienced since 2018. Imported European packaging remained particularly expensive.

Prices broadly stabilised at an elevated level. UK producer prices remained around one quarter above 2018 levels, while imported EU corrugated-product prices remained approximately one third higher. Prices in the UK for boxes increased by 6%

2026
By April 2026, the UK producer price index for corrugated paper, paperboard and cardboard containers remained approximately 25% above April 2018. The equivalent EU import price index was approximately 36% higher. These broad indices do not show the full cost of every finished box specification. UK corrugators must also manage changes in energy, wages, employer costs, adhesives, machinery, pallets and transport, while competition for board and reduced production capacity can place further pressure on prices. Consequently, the actual price paid for finished boxes can rise by more than the headline market index.
Although cardboard prices have eased from their early-2023 peak, the cost of suitable boxes and protective packaging has not returned to its pre-pandemic level. Appliance parts also require a wide range of box sizes, internal protection and stronger packaging than many ordinary retail products.
Our shipping prices are based on the amounts we pay DPD, Royal Mail and DHL, together with an averaged contribution towards suitable packaging and handling. The amount charged will not always equal the exact cost of an individual parcel, and in some cases we continue to subsidise part of the actual delivery cost.
Royal Mail figures compare published business base prices and exclude VAT, negotiated account adjustments, optional services and applicable surcharges unless stated. Cardboard comparisons are based on Office for National Statistics producer and import price indices. These indices show general market movements and will not exactly match the prices charged by an individual packaging supplier. Brexit, COVID-19, energy costs and the Ukraine conflict are described as contributing pressures and are not assigned individual percentages of the overall increase.
Any and all delays caused by your delivery address being entered incorrectly is not our responsibility, please ensure your address is correct and complete.
Our estimated delivery estimate is shown on each product page and in the shopping basket. Where products are shown as "In Stock" we show the delivery day estimate, this estimate can vary between products depending on which warehouse the item is located.
As the time taken to despatch your order varies depending on what you order, we always quote a delivery day estimate for all shipping options available based on what is in your basket. The time taken for us to despatch your order is factored into the delivery day estimate quoted.
If for any reason we expect your order to not despatch on time, we will email you to let you know and if needed upgrade your shipping method at no charge to ensure we hit your estimated delivery day.
For all our shipping options you will be contacted via email and provided with a tracking code once the order is despatched. If you have provided a valid UK mobile number with your order, our couriers will also text you notification.
Please note that delivery days may vary over bank holidays.

DPD Pickup - Ship to Shop
DPD Pickup is only available for certain orders, if your order is eligible the option will be available. We handle and prioritise this order as though it is a Priority order to ensure fastest processing. This option is great if you wont be home to receive your order. This option is not a guaranteed delivery date service as delays at the chosen pickup location are out of our control.

Return Order
Step One: Conditions for return:
- The item was NOT a back-order item.
- The item was NOT classed as a non returnable product on the product page.
- Screens/Displays can not be returned.
- If you've ordered the wrong item(s) or simply had a change of heart, please return it in perfect, re-saleable condition (including product packaging, instructions, etc). You must not write anything on or damage; the item, its packaging or instructions.
- We can not accept the return of perishable goods or personal care spare parts. This includes but not imited to: Oral hygeine products, any shaving parts such as epilator heads and shaver heads or trimming guards.
- Products supplied in clear sealed retail packaging (Blister Packs), for example Coffee Pod Filters, once opened can not be returned.
- Products supplied in clear sealed bags once opened can not be returned.
- You have the right to cancel your order and request a Returns Number within 14 days of the date of delivery. Requests made via e-mail, support ticket or online returns form.
- For aestetic damage to plastics (drawers etc) if damage has occured in transit please inform us promptly so that we can issue a replacement, we will require photographs of the damage.
- We sell both new items and reclaimed television parts and each category has a different returns policy so please ensure that the correct policy applies to your purchase. Item condition is stated on every product page.
- Please note that the costs of returning your item(s) must be paid by you. For UK customers using the pre-paid postage label to return item(s) the postage cost of £4 may be deducted from any refund applicable.
Any damage or wear (which includes scuffs, scratches etc) sustained to the item or its retail packaging will result in refusal of your return and disposal of your return after 28 days.
Returns Information: Accepted returns are subject to inspection and checking before we will issue a refund. Accepting your request to return the item is not a guarantee of a refund. All our parts are individually tamper proof security coded. Once the item has been delivered to you, you have a duty of care to the item.
We will only accept an item for a full refund if an error has occurred on our behalf or the item falls under our guarantee. We will either replace the item if stock is available or issue a refund to your credit/debit card or chosen payment method. You may be charged a diminshed value fee of at least £5 or up to 20% of the item value, per item if the item is not returned in the same condition as the item was sent.
If a part has been ordered in error, please note that we must be notified of the error within 14 days of receipt of the spare part. Outside of this period any accepted returns are at our sole discretion. Should your return request be a accepted you will be refunded for the item and not your return or original postage.
Should your return be lost in the post, we will not refund the cost of the item or your postage. You must pay to return any items to us. We will not provide or arrange carriage. Further T&C apply, important information is contanied within your return request confirmation which must be adhered to.

Step Two: Return Procedure:
- We request that you take reasonable care of the item while it is in your possession.
- We request that you use our original postage boxes as we deem those to be adequate protection for the item.
- For domestic UK returns, if you do not use our provided returns label we will not pay for your return postage.
- If you do not use our returns label, please return your package using a signed for service, we can't be held liable for returns where the product has not been received back with us.
- Ensure your postage method has adequate compensation to cover your loss should the return be lost or damaged in transit.
- You must write your RMA (Return Merchandise Authorisation) number on the outside of the box.
